Over in Spain, a court has ordered that Dalí’s remains are to be exhumed. The reason? 61-year-old Pilar Abel Martínez, who once hosted a Spanish tarot card reading television show, claims that the surrealist is her real father. She claims her mother, a maid, had an affair with the artist back in the '50s and that she is the result (a claim that would make her Dalí’s only known child). A positive result would give her a right to a portion of the artist’s estate, unsurprisingly a foundation that represents that estate is appealing. Meanwhile, as it turns out, Warhol might not have been the best person to have around if you were trying to hook up. In his upcoming memoir, tennis champ John McEnroe claims that, “He was always there at every party I was ever at, taking your picture late at night, even when you were super f--ked up…[When you wanted to] loosen your collar and try to find a good-looking model or whatever, [Warhol] always seemed to be up in everyone's face with his camera, being a pain in the ass.” Well, at least he wasn’t uploading the photos to Instagram immediately. | | | | Britney Spear’s Mental Health | | | | One of the most revealing Britney Spears interviews in years comes from a surprising source: an Israeli newspaper. Ahead of a planned concert in Tel Aviv, Spears reminisced openly about her “awful 20s” with which we’re all intimately familiar. Yes, while intense paparazzi pressure and worldwide interest in her life had something to do with her eventually breakdown, she also thinks that perhaps so many attempts to protect her from all of that in her camp played a part. "My life was controlled by too many people and that doesn't really let you be yourself. In that situation, when you're not in control, you become less excited, and there's less passion when it comes to music,” she said. "I wrote back then, that I was lost and didn't know what to do with myself. I was trying to please everyone around me because that's who I am deep inside. There are moments where I look back and think, 'What the hell was I thinking?'" Oh, she also thinks dancing with an actual snake at an MTV awards show was “stupid.” Though, she says she’s in a much better place now and makes a point to take care of herself. So, hooray for that. | | | | Menswear in Europe have come to a shocking conclusion: full-length pants are decidedly out, showing a little calf is decidedly in. It may have started with Fendi’s “Skype” looks, meant to make one look presentable for a business meeting via Skype up top, but relaxed and comfortable below. Dior Homme and Rick Owen followed up with shorter short shorts. At Yohji Yamamoto and Dries Van Noten they were a bit more relaxed. Louis Vuitton featured tight bike shorts fashioned out of leather. Then Thom Browne really took the cake by showing both suits with short shorts and a full-on embrace of the male skirt. | | | | | | | | | | | Ladyfag hosted three epic parties over Pride weekend. Before one we met up with the prolific New York party promoter to find out what it takes to get ready to be the belle of the clubland ball. | | | | | | | | Miles McMillan, 27 (Quinto’s Co.)
