You’re a Hollywood star looking for love, but where should you look? Apparently the offices of Saturday Night Live. Ben Affleck is dating Lindsay Shookus, a producer for the show. Olivia Wilde married Jason Sudeikis after meeting him at the show’s after-party. Rising star Cazzie David started dating cast member Pete Davidson after meeting him when her dad (Larry David, in case it wasn’t clear) hosted. And Scarlett Johansson spent the summer having a fling with "Weekend Update" co-anchor Colin Jost. Now, we find out that Emma Stone has quietly been dating writer and segment producer Dan McCary, at least according to reports. Stone hosted the show last December, and they must have met when McCary directed her in standout sketch “Wells for Boys.” It’s unclear when they started seeing each other, but apparently they were spotted together in L.A. in June. Basically, SNL seems to have a higher success rate than Tinder. Unfortunately for any love-starved staffer, all the headliners this season are otherwise attached, and the next scheduled host is Larry David.

A Watershed Moment for Trans Talent on TV

TV super-producer Ryan Murphy has so many projects in the works that it's hard to keep up, but certainly one of his most intriguing was announced earlier this year. Titled Pose, the planned FX series was vaguely described as somehow combining New York’s 1980s downtown party and literary scene, the era’s Wall Street and real estate tycoons, and the underground ballroom culture captured in the documentary Paris is Burning. Well, on Wednesday it was announced that the series had cast five transgender actresses (MJ Rodriguez, Indya Moore, Dominique Jackson, Hailie Sahar, and Angelica Ross) who are the largest group of trans actors ever assembled for a mainstream TV show. You may have seen some of these actresses before on shows like Mr. Robot, Claws, Transparent, and The Carrie Diaries. The show has also brought on a number of trans writers (including Janet Mock) as consultants, choreographers, co-producers, and directors behind-the-scenes as well. It could prove to be a watershed moment for both the careers of the talents and TV in general. Of course, we should add the caveat that FX has only ordered a pilot and not the full series yet. Though, giving Murphy’s record with the network, we assume it has more than a good chance of making it to air.

Drake turned 31 this past Tuesday, and over the weekend, he celebrated by throwing himself a star-studded “re-Bar Mitzvah”. Everyone from Leonardo DiCaprio to Jamie Foxx to Kelly Rowland showed up, but there was one noticeable absence: Rihanna. According to some reports, Drake was absolutely heartbroken by the fact that his alleged ex and frequent duet partner didn’t drop by. Adding even more potential heartache, Bella Hadid (who some people are convinced is currently dating Drake) also didn’t show. She had a prior engagement. Hailey Baldwin (who also reportedly is maybe, possibly involved with Drake) did show up. So at least he had someone there to cheer him up.
