Despite some very notable bumps along the way, the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show finally went down on Monday in Shanghai, though without Gigi Hadid and Katy Perry. While you won’t be able to see it until it airs on November 28, you can view exclusive pictures of all the best looks here—which, in a first, includes a capsule collection with Balmain. Also, check out pictures of the behind-the-scenes scene here. You’ll notice that Bella Hadid is very much present, even though her sister was denied entry into China. She still had a great time. “It’s so exciting to be able to be here and it’s such a great experience for all of us, especially for the girls who have never been to China,” she told us. Things did go relatively smoothly, though a model did fall on the runway and police reportedly shut down the after party early.

Josh Schwartz’s Dynasty

Josh Schwartz was the force behind both The O.C. and Gossip Girl, but since then, he hasn’t had many hits (The Carrie Diaries, which ran for two seasons, was his best showing). So it’s curious he’s back this season with two efforts; the first, the Dynasty reboot, has been granted a full season, but ratings remain low. Tonight, Hulu premieres his second and it’s a peculiar offering: A Marvel show. Yes, Josh Schwartz does superheroes. The main characters are teens, of course. Based on the critically acclaimed comic book series, Marvel’s Runaways, it follows a group of diverse high school students who develop powers and take on some of the world’s biggest evils...who just happen to be their own parents. Reviews are a bit mixed. The A.V. Club calls it “fascinating and surprisingly funny,” while Vulture says “it doesn’t quite feel like a must-watch.” Still, the reviews are much more promising than Fox’s own new teen superhero show, The Gifted—and than Schwartz’s Dynasty, for that matter.

Paris Hilton’s Claim to Have Invented Them

Regular readers of W know that Paris Hilton invented the selfie. Well, at least she claims to. “If a beeper had a camera, I would have taken a selfie with it,” she told us back in May. “I think I have a selfie from when I was a little kid, like on a disposable camera.” On Sunday, she doubled down on the claim by posting an old picture of her with Britney Spears. “11 years ago today, Me & Britney invented the selfie!” she wrote. Twitter detectives were quick to shoot down her claim. Surprisingly, so was The New York Times. The paper of record penned an investigation of sorts into the claim. They found a professor who told them that selfies date all the way back to 1839.
