Out: Non-Kylie Kardashians

Kylie Jenner’s recent success apparently makes her sisters jealous. Meanwhile, Jeff Koon x Louis Vuitton is a thing.

Jealousy

Keeping Up With The Kardashians has had several spin-offs, but the sisters are forced to share them either with a fellow sister or a romantic partner. In fact, Caitlyn Jenner is technically the only member of the clan to have her own series documenting her life. Well, now E! has greenlit a series focusing squarely on Kylie Jenner titled Life With Kylie. The move reflects the youngest sister’s growing popularity. She’s Snapchat’s most followed account, the second most-followed Kardashian on Instagram besides Kim, and of course has her own growing cosmetics empire. According to People, this has raised some issues of envy in the tight-knit family. “There’s some jealousy that comes along with all the attention that Kylie is getting,” says the source. Of course, all Kardashians managed to anchor their fame around Kim in the first place, and it seems like rising tides lift all boats in this case. Besides why would they be jealous of Kylie? You know who we’re envious of? Kourtney. She seems to do the least publicly, keeps to raising her kids, still reaps the benefits, and allegedly hooks up with Justin Bieber from time to time.

U2 in Your iTunes By Surprise

Anyone Else Who Wanted in on the Next Kendrick Lamar Album

Apple users had the experience of having U2 show up in their iTunes by surprise once, and didn’t like it very much. As it turns out, U2 might also surprisingly show up in the iTunes scroll of music lovers who buy the next Kendrick Lamar album. The breakout rapper has recruited the sort-of-dad-rock band to appear on his next album DAMN. While individual members have guested elsewhere, this appears to be the first time the band as a unit have lent their combined efforts to another musician’s track. The track in question is title “XXX,” but little else is known about the collaboration. Lamar seems to have been quite choosy about who shows up on his follow up to To Pimp a Butterfly. The only other artist credited as a featured guest on the just released track listings is Rihanna.

Jeff Koons for Louis Vuitton

Collaborating with Snowboard Companies

Jeff Koons is always down for a collaboration. The much discussed modern artist has lent his talents to project for Lady Gaga, Burton snowboards, BMW, and Google’s Pixel phones among other entities. Louis Vuitton loves a good collab. The menswear team-up with Supreme was its most recent, but they’ve also joined forces with artists like Stephen Sprouse, Richard Prince, and Takashi Murakami. It was only a matter of time then until Koons and Vuitton crossed paths. On Tuesday, their collaboration was official unveiled. Dubbed the “Masters” collection, it’s Koons’ take on Renaissance art, including the Mona Lisa, except stretched out across leather bags. He put his own spin on the works by rendering his own initials in a manner similar to LV’s famed monogram, and each bag comes with a leather hangtag in the shape of his famous “Rabbit” works.
