Kardashian Vanity

People like to drag the Kardashians for taking selfies all day long, but, hey, sometimes they actually post pictures of themselves other people have taken. It’s not all perfectly angled selfies. Yet, as Khloe Kardashian recently found out, just because you’re in a photo, that doesn’t mean it’s yours to do whatever you want with. In fact, the youngest Kardashian sister is being sued for posting an image by a photography agency on her profile without attribution.  According to The Hollywood Reporter, Xposure Photos claims Kardashian did not obtain the proper license for the photo and is now seeking $25,000 in damages. The Reporter pegs the suit to overall uptick of photography agencies filing suit over unlicensed use of their photos, and notes hundreds of lawsuits have been filed since the beginning of the year. Of course, it is kind of weird that paparazzi photographers are free to take images of celebrities without permission, but those celebrities are not free to post those photos on Instagram without permission.

Raf Simons' New Standards of Calvin Klein Beauty

Underwear Model Clones

Raf Simons is just getting started at Calvin Klein, but one of his most notable efforts so far is also one of the brand’s most visible. Sure, maybe they’re not quite Victoria’s Secret Angels, but Calvin Klein underwear models are downright iconic in America. However, Simons has taken the brand’s skivvies marketing in a new direction. He enlisted the cast of Moonlight to show of the boxers and briefs, and 73-year-old supermodel Lauren Hutton to help show off the lingerie. It’s a far cry from the days when CK models were all homogeneous hard bodies, and Simons says there’s a reason for that. “I think in this political climate, more than ever, it is important when you have a big voice to speak up,” Simons recently told The Cut. “Being in this position with this brand, which has always stood for diversity anyway, I wanted to show that.”

The Old Lana

It was just six years ago when Lana Del Rey burst onto the scene as a gloomy daddy-chaser who couldn’t get over her “summertime sadness” and was “born to die.” Her career was something of a monument to moody Millennial girl depression, but something seems different about Lana as she gears up for her next album. It’s called Lust For Life after all, and the first single is called “Love.” She’s also, notably, smiling for the first time on an album cover. What could have changed? Maybe it’s the witchcraft? She, did, after all, vow to use her powers to help defeat Donald Trump. In any case, she’s unveiled a surprise collaborator for a track on the album. She’s teaming up with another notably witchy woman, Stevie Nicks. There’s no more information besides that, but it’s enough to get excited about.
