According to reports, Tarantino is almost done penning a script based on the infamous murders committed by Charlie Manson and his cult. No word on who will play who, nor how closely the film’s plot will keep to fact. Tarantino after all is the man who rewrote the ending to World War II for Inglourious Basterds, so who knows what he’ll do with this tale. Naturally, Samuel L. Jackson is invited, too-because it just wouldn’t be a Tarantino film without him. | Raf Simons’s Idea of Blade Runner | It's New York Fashion Week: Men’s, and that means, well, maybe not too much. Sure, there’s some interesting young labels (Linder and Patrik Ervell) mixed in on the schedule with some legacy standbys (Hugo Boss and Perry Ellis), but there’s only one show on the schedule that makes the global fashion community standstill and take notice and that’s Raf. Raf Simons, to be exact. After moving to New York to take over Calvin Klein as his day job, Simons also decided to show his eponymous men's line in the city as well. On Tuesday night, he staged a show at a market in Chinatown with a set inspired by the film Blade Runner. A-listers like Julianne Moore and Jake Gyllenhaal mixed in with the fashion crowd (there was no seating, standing room only) to take in a collection heavy on post-apocalyptic looks and—because why not—ultra-shading wide-brimmed hats. | | | | Sometimes it’s exciting to try new things: Gucci and creative director Alessandro Michele are entering the home decor market with some very maximalist furniture and other interior accoutrements. Oprah Winfrey shot her first fantasy film and we finally got to see pictures of her in character for A Wrinkle in Time. Sometimes it’s best to know when to call it quits: Paris’s hippest boutique Colette is closing after 20 years in business. Model Lindsey Wixson is retiring at 23. Sometimes, though, it might be best to keep on doing the same ol’ same ol': Lana Del Rey released the track listing for her next album Lust For Life, and the song titles seem as Lana as ever. Paris Hilton announced the release of her 23rd perfume, and decided to once again try to revive her music career with a new song “Summer Reign.” | | | | | | | | | | | The former Disney twin is a fashion photographer now.
